Triumph in Imola for Roda, Rovera and Fuoco

Pole Position and victory for the AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo, number 71, which triumphs with almost a minute advantage on its direct rivals.

Imola ( BO ) August 30, 2020 - A weekend to be framed on the Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit of Imola for Giorgio Roda, Alessio Rovera and Antonio Fuoco.

The very young crew of the AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo focuses on the second round of the Italian GT Endurance Championship and scores a pole position , victory and fastest lap in the race. The AF Corse trio immediately shows off its qualities with a P2 in all the three free practise sessions and then places the winning paw in the qualifying on the Emilia Circuit. In the race, it is a solo of the Prancing Horse with Rovera shooting well from Pole position, with Roda keeping the advantage and increasing until leaving the car to Fuoco who completes the work driving fast laps and coming to leave behind him, with almost une minute advantage, the rivals on the Lamborghini of Vincenzo Sospiri Racing. Excellent performance of the Lariano driver who is increasingly confident with the Red from Maranello and, without the physical problems that had afflicted him at Mugello, and manages to keep an excellent place in line with the best.

«I am really happy of this result - Giorgio Roda declared at the end of the race - This result comes thanks to a great work we are all doing. Antonio and Alessio proved, once again, to be great drivers and I am happy to be at their side this season. But the great work is above all that of the whole AF Corse team, who allowed us to be on the track with a perfect car. This victory re-launches us towards the fight for the title and we will do everything to stay in the leading positions until the end. In three weeks, in Vallelunga, it will be important to push hard, as we will also have the time handicap ; I am however sure this crew can equally compete with everybody. We hope to be able to give the occasion for at least a little smile to the Ferrari fans in this difficult year. We will always do our best from here to Monza, this for sure.»
